Travel guide ideas while traveling to Dominican Republic

Dominican Republic is a sovereign state located in Caribbean. Recently, this country has experienced a growth in construction, manufacturing and tourism. Further, a large amount of Dominican Diaspora exists in United States and this is the most visited tourist destination in Caribbean. As far as the architecture if this country is concerned, there are diverse cultures and has also been declared as World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The buildings of this state have stucco exteriors, arched doors and windows with red tiled roofs.

When it comes to visit Dominican Republic, Bavaro Beach attains the foremost position. This beach is located in Punta Cana, in easternmost province of this country. There are many hotels available here and it itself becomes the center of services. To the north of it, there are some other beaches also, like Macao Beach, Uvero alto Beach, Roco ki Beach and La Vacama Beach.

For snorkeling and scuba diving, Catalina Island is the best one. This is the island situated in south east corner of Dominican Republic. This is the favorite destination of cruise ships during Caribbean routes. Here, you may come across daily ships that are traveling from Catalina to La Romana in this beach, there is white fine sand and has crystal clear water. Corals are also very close to this shore and you can spend time on sun beds here.

Los Haitises National Park is located in the north east coast of Dominican Republic and was established in 1976. here, you will find limestone plateau with conical hills, sinkholes and caverns. Further, there is also a mangrove forest on the coast and you can also explore various species of mammals and birds d also some endemic species. Though it is one of the most famous tourist destination in Dominican Republic, but the number of tourists allowed to visit here are limited.

Los Tres Ojos is a cave located in Dominican Republic. This cave is in 50-yard area and is limestone cave. This amazing cave is illuminated by the myriad of colorful lightings during night. The water by which this cave is fed is of green, blue and yellow color, depending upon the depth of ponds. As far as the aquatic animals are concerned, fish bats and turtles can easily be found here. The outstanding fact about this lake is that the depth of this lake is still unknown.

Apart from these, there are many other places where you can visit while traveling to Dominican Republic. Some such places are Lake enriquillo, Samana Bay, Fortaleza Ozama, Basilica cathedral of Santa Maria, Atlos de chavon and many others. Columbus Lighthouse is a beautiful place to visit and if you are interested in adventurous activities like hiking, climbing and mountaineering, Pico Durate is the best suited place for it. For camping, Bahia de las Aguilas is the serene place. For history lovers, Museo de las Casas Reales Museum is the place to explore.

However, the best time to visit Dominican Republic is from July and August during summer and December and February during winter season.
