Greenland is the country located in the kingdom of Denmark. The largest city as well as capital of this country is Nuuk. The languages spoken in this country are Greenlandic and Danish. Greenland tourist place this country has the political and cultural association with Europe and is the largest island in world. Three fourth o this island is covered with ice. To know more about Greenland, Greenland National museum is the best place to visit. This is the first museum built in Greenland and was established in 1960s. Here, you will find many items on display like archeology, history, art, handicrafts, ruins, graveyards and buildings. Here, you can also explore the social changes that have taken place until now.

Mara Mountain is another outstanding site to visit in Greenland. This mountain is located in the northern part of Greenland and is the closest mountain to North Pole. You can reach at its peak by basic snow climb. The height of this mountain from sea level is 1,155.19 ft. this is the best place for mountaineering and hiking.

Another sea cliff in south Greenland is Thumbnail. This is located in Cape Farewell region and with this, you can also visit Agdlerussakasit ridge. This cliff is best suited for climbing.

Helheim Glacier is one of the largest glaciers in Greenland and it gets water from Helheim Fjord. It is located in Sermersooq, Greenland. The amazing fact about this glacier is that it is named after the world of dead according to Norse Mythology. This glacier also accelerates every year and it is also the site of glacial earthquakes.

Mount Forel is also the snow covered mountain in Sermersooq, Greenland. This mountain has 54th rank in North America isolated peaks. This mountain is the part of Schweizerland range. Moreover, it is also the popular site for climbing with watkings Range and Stauning Alps. It is located in the north of Arctic Circle and has the elevation of 3,383 meters.

Allied to these, you can also visit Zackenberg Mountain. It is located in Wollaston Foreland in north eastern part of Greenland. In the north eastern side o this mountain, the river also flows that makes a valley between this mountain. In addition, a research facility, known as The Zackenberg Station is also built at the foot of this mountain.

Nuuk Art Museum is also the center of attraction among tourists. It was completed in June 2007. This museum has the various collections of paintings, watercolors, drawings, graphics, and figures in soapstone, ivory and wood. Here, you will also find more than 150 paintings of Emanuel A. Petersen.

Some other places to visit in Greenland are Sisimiut Museum, North East Greenland, Nuuk Cathedral, Knud Rasmussen’s Museum, Greenland outdoors, Hvasley Church, Qaqortoq Museum, Palasip Qaqqaa and many more. However, the best time of the year to visit Greenland for sailing and hiking is in summer seasons, in May to August. But if you want to go there for dog sledding  and northern lights, you must visit from December to March.
