Alaska is the state of U.S.A. and the capital of this state is Juneau. Main languages spoken here are English, Alaska Native Languages, Tagaloga and Spanish. Alaska is the largest state of United States of America and is least densely populated state. The main source of economy of this state is military bases and tourism. For adventure and to admire the beauty of glacier, you can visit Mendenhall glacier. Every year, this glacier receives around five lakh visitors. There is also a center that exhibits changes that has taken place in glacier due to climatic change. One can look at variety of wildlife here that includes mountain goats, black bears and salmon. For more adventure, do visit Alaska Sea Life Center that was opened in 1998. This is a public aquarium and the only marine rehabilitation facility in this state. This sea life center shares scientific knowledge related to marine life and is used of public awareness. This center includes touch tank where you can touch aquatic animals liken sea stars, sea urchins, sea birds, harbor seals, sea lions, giant pacific octopus, giant squid. Here, you can have a look at food fish like salmon, halibut, king crab and sablefish.

Chilkoot Trail is also an amazing place to visit in Alaska. This trail is 33 miles long and was designated as National Historic site of Canada in 1987 and was also designated as U.S. National Historic Landmark in 1978. This trail has many natural and historical sites and the trip normally takes three to five days. This trail is divided in three main climatic regions, known as coastal rainforest, high alpine forest and boreal forest. You can enjoy hiking here but one can encounter bears while hiking.

There is a fjord in Alaska, known as Tracy Arm. It contains two deep and narrow fjords of 30 miles and the one fifth of area is covered with ice. During summer, one can enjoy floating ice on it that ranges from small pieces to pieces large till three story building. You can visit here by large tour vessels and small cruise boats. Further, you can also use float planes to visit here.
